dear friends,

i am back. i know it's been such a long time and i do hope you missed me. it's been so hectic lately, since i gave birth i haven't had time to sit down, collect my thoughts and write about all the wonderful experiences joks and i are having with jaden. now, though, i have a pocket of time and i can give a brief update.

since i haven't yet done so, i would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit us and was lucky enough to see jaden's face through the glass window. thank you for all the gifts, especially the diapers and the bottles since joks and i still haven't completed his layette by that time because we thought the baby would come after march.

because he is pre-term, jaden's birth weight was only a little over 2kg and 48cm. i am happy and proud to report that now, at over 3 months, he is already 6kg and 58cm and is growing steadily. he gulps down 30-32 oz of formula daily, moves bowels regularly, and smiles incessantly. he loves being outside, taking his baths, sleeping in airconditioned rooms, and drives us crazy every single day. his latest achievements are being able to sleep for six hours straight at night, and holding his head up when on his stomach.

i cannot tell you how much his smile, his laugh, his coos and gurgles mean to joks and i. totoo pala yung sinasabi nila na nakakatanggal ng pagod ang baby.

when we get home from a hard day's work, his greeting -- a smile and sometimes a laugh, is enough to erase the weariness of the day. he makes it all worth it and i really wish i could stay with him 24 hours a day. pero siempre, since joks and i want to give him the best life we could possibly afford, we have to work real hard and that involves being out most of the day, six days a week.

good thing his nanny is great and loves jaden like her own son (who couldn't? see pictures above).

oh well, that's all i have time for today. until next time.
